There have been various problems with this show since the beginning. It mostly takes advantage of foreigners who marry Americans in order to obtain a K-1 visa. The fact that the pair must marry within 90 days adds to the difficulty. If this does not happen, their tourist visa will expire. They must either return home or face deportation as a result. A show with this concept should naturally be tense, but the producers prefer to add fuel to the fire to make the situations more interesting.
