Some fictional characters are more gorgeous than the stars of the red carpet, even if they are fake. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a superhero or an action star; we all have a favorite imaginary beauty. People have different preferences when it comes to seeing their favorite celebs in costume. Look back at the most attractive movie characters and see what the actors and actresses who portrayed them are up to today.
Bridget Von Hammersmark, former movie star turned spy, is a great way to start. Quentin Tarantino’s reinvented war film Inglourious Basterds included German American actress Diane Kruger as this gorgeous figure. Kruger was inspired by German actress Hildegard Knef, and Bridget was based on Hungarian actress Ilona Massey. When Diane Kruger made her acting debut in 2017 in a German film, she was awarded the Cannes Award for Best Actress. Multiple productions are presently filming with the star. She’s dating actor Norman Reedus.
Tina Carlyle – Cameron Diaz
When The Mask was released in 1994, it did great things for both Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. The leading lady in this movie, Tina Carlyle, was a mafia girlfriend with a bit of a thing for the green-faced focus of the film. In her deep red bandage dress, Cameron’s Tina stole the hearts of many.
Movies starring Cameron Diaz have grossed in the billions. However, the star retired from acting in 2014. Since then, the star has released several books and invested in various start-ups.
The Devil – Elizabeth Hurley
What can we say about English actress Elizabeth Hurley in the fantasy romcom Bedazzled? In this remake of a 1967 movie, the sultry star plays a very beautiful version of the devil. Complete with several stunning red outfits and movie star hair, Liz really steals every scene she’s in.
Following this iconic role, the beautiful Elizabeth Hurley continued to star in movies and TV shows. She also has her own swimwear line, named after herself, which she helpfully models each year.
Elizabeth Swann – Keira Knightley
English actress Keira Knightley was actually just 17 years old when the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie came out. As Elizabeth Swann, Keira got to play a classic beauty and a swash-buckling star. In the early parts of the film, she’s dolled up in frilly garments.
But by the end, she’s smeared with dirt and getting involved in the action. The fabulous Keira Knightley has continued to act in major movies. She’s also modeled for top brands, and supported various charities.
Eléna Montero – Catherine Zeta-Jones
Speaking of beautiful fictional characters that end up in swash-buckling scenes, what about Eléna Montero? Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones played this character in the 1998 movie The Mask of Zorro. Eléna is a Spanish stunner and helped Catherine break into the Hollywood A list.
This stunning star has multiple top awards, including an Oscar and a Tony. Catherine Zeta-Jones married fellow movie star Michael Douglas in 2000. They live with their two children in rural New York State and have an estate in Spain.
Honey Ryder – Ursula Andress
Perhaps unsurprisingly, there are several Bond girls on this list. As with most of Bond’s love interests, Honey Ryder has a tongue-in-cheek name. She appears in the first-ever Bond movie, 1967’s Dr. No, alongside Sean Connery.
Interestingly, both Ursula Andress’ speaking and singing voice were dubbed in this movie. Today, Swiss actress and model Ursula is in her late 80s. She continued to act, but wound down her career in the early ’90s. The star has one son, with ex-partner Harry Hamlin.
Jennifer Check – Megan Fox
There’s no denying actress Megan Fox’s striking beauty. Though she’s gorgeous in every role, we particularly like her as Jennifer Check, the boy gobbling demon in Jennifer’s Body. These days Megan Fox is in a high-profile relationship with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. The stunning star has continued to act. She will appear with her famous fiancé in an upcoming musical.

We’ve covered the first-ever Bond girl, but what about later entries to this exclusive club? In 2006’s Casino Royal, French actress Eva Green plays the sultry Vesper Lynd. Her character is an agent assigned to supervise and finance Daniel Craig’s James Bond.
Eva beat fellow beauties Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron for the part. Eva Green has starred in many indie movies and collaborated several times with director Tim Burton. She has criticized Hollywood for giving too much power to studios and directors.
Catherine Tramell – Sharon Stone
When talking about iconic beautiful movie characters, we must mention Catherine Tramell. Sharon Stone’s role in the neo-noir film Basic Interest was so iconic that it’s been referenced multiple times in pop culture and politics.
Apparently, the movie’s most famous (and shocking) scene was filmed without Sharon Stone’s knowledge. During her career, Sharon Stone has been praised for her work in movies and TV shows. She has an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
Catwoman – Halle Berry
As well as featuring several Bond girls, this list also includes a number of on-screen superheroes. In 2004’s Catwoman, actress Halle Berry dons the black leather outfit to transform from the meek Patience Philips into the famous crime-fighter. Seriously, how great is this costume?
Although Catwoman was critically panned, Halle Berry continued working in movies. She made her directorial debut in 2020 with the Netflix drama Bruised. The star has two children, daughter Nahla Ariela Aubrey, and son Maceo Robert Martinez.
Anya Amasova – Barbara Bach
Are you ready for another stunning Bond girl? This time we turn to The Spy Who Loved Me, the 10th movie in the series, released in 1977. Barbara Bach plays Soviet agent Anya Amasova who teams up with Roger Moore’s Bond to save the world.

Barbara Sugarman – Scarlett Johansson
In Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut, Don Jon, the actor plays Jersey boy Jon Martello. In the movie, he becomes besotted with the blonde Barbara Sugarman, played by Scarlett Johansson.
Obviously, ScarJo is gorgeous in everything, but we adore her strong accent in this romcom. Scarlett Johansson is one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood and has taken on a number of roles. The striking star is currently married to comedian Colin Jost and is a proud mom of two.
Danielle – Elisha Cuthbert
It’s no surprise that Elisha Cuthbert’s Danielle – or D – in The Girl Next Door is on our list. After all, the movie’s entire premise is that a high school student falls in love with the stunning girl next door. Oh, and she has an interesting former career.
With her blonde hair and fresh face, Elisha is certainly believable in the role. After this breakthrough role, Elisa Cuthbert established herself as a scream queen, appearing in several horror movies. She has also had prominent TV roles.
Rose DeWitt Bukater – Kate Winslet
English actress Kate Winslet was just 21 years old when she played the now-iconic role of Rose in Titanic. Who amongst us didn’t swoon when the star asked Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jack to “paint me like one of your French girls”?
A true English rose, Kate looks stunning in Rose’s elaborate period outfits. Since this hugely popular movie, Kate Winslet has taken on a host of incredible roles. For her efforts, she’s won an Academy Award, a Grammy, two Emmys, and five Golden Globes.
Gracie Hart – Sandra Bullock
We love makeover movies, and the beauty pageant comedy Miss Congeniality is one of the best. Sandra Bullock plays the tomboyish FBI agent Gracie Hart, who must go undercover in the Miss United States pageant.
After a wonderful montage, she appears in a stunning lilac bandage dress strutting alongside Michael Caine. The striking Sandra Bullock is one of the world’s highest-paid actresses. The star has scooped up an Academy Award and recently starred in The Lost City alongside Channing Tatum.
Dink – Margaret Nolan
We’re back to early James Bond movies, this time with the third installment, Goldfinger. However, this time we aren’t focusing on the film’s main Bond girl (played by Honor Blackman). Instead, we’re celebrating Dink, Bond’s masseuse, and the gold body used in the movie’s promotional materials.
English actress and model Margaret Nolan went on to star in six Carry-On films. She stopped acting in the ’80s but took several small roles later in life. Margaret passed away in 2020, aged 76.
Alice Ayres – Natalie Portman
2004 romantic drama Closer follows the complicated relationships of two couples and stars Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Julia Roberts, and Clive Owen. With her short pink bob and flushed face, Portman’s Alice Ayers is an undeniable beauty.

Regina George – Rachel McAdams
Teen comedy Mean Girls lives on in the minds of millennials everywhere. There’s no denying that Rachel McAdam’s Regina George was the meanest of them all. But isn’t she beautiful? Even when Lindsay Lohan’s Cady Heron tries to sabotage Regina’s beauty, she makes it work. More than that, all of her classmates copy her.
Hey, the girl even rocks a back brace. Rachel McAdams has been in hit after hit, and she’s still working. The star is set to appear in Judy Blume’s adaptation Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.
Selene – Kate Beckinsale
It’s time to step into the Underworld series for our next entry. English actress Kate Beckinsale stars as elite vampire warrior Selene, complete with a choppy bob and a black leather catsuit.

Barb Wire – Pamela Anderson
What would this list even be without Pamela Anderson in the mix? The blonde bombshell is famous for her looks, but she’s also a popular actress. In the 1996 superhero flick Barb Wire, Pammy plays the title character, a bounty hunter and mercenary.
With her motorcycle and leather getup, Barb is undeniably a babe. Canadian-American beauty Pamela Anderson has continued to act and has appeared on reality TV. She will be starring in a Netflix documentary about her life, which will be released in 2022.
Sara – Eva Mendes
There is a range of characters depicted by Eva Mendes that could appear on our list of most beautiful fictional characters. However, we’ve opted for her role as Sara in 2001 crime thriller Training Day. In this beloved movie, American actress Eva plays Denzel Washington’s mistress.
After this movie, Eva went on to star in a host of other popular movies. The star has taken a break from acting and is now more cautious about roles she takes. Eva has two children with long-term partner Ryan Gosling.

We’ve already seen Halle Berry in this role, but what about Anne Hathaway’s attempt? While the star is usually more buttoned up in her roles, she donned the leather catsuit for 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Cleopatra – Elizabeth Taylor
For her role in the 1963 historical epic Cleopatra, actress Elizabeth Taylor took home a cool $1 million salary. At the time, this was record-breaking. Starring alongside her future on-off partner Richard Burton, Liz donned the regalia of the Egyptian Queen.

In a sea of blondes and brunettes, Australian actress Nicole Kidman really shines as a redhead. In Baz Luhrman’s opulent musical Moulin Rouge!, the star plays ill-fated cabaret star Satine. Wearing a host of stunning outfits, and swinging from the ceiling, Satine is undeniably a striking beauty.
As for Nicole, well she’s a multi-award-winning actress that rakes in the cash. The star has been celebrated for her work on the big and small screens. She is married to country star Keith Urban.
Princess Leia – Carrie Fisher
There are plenty of beautiful sci-fi characters, but none as iconic as Princess Leia. Actress Carrie Fisher played the beloved character in the original 1977 Star Wars, and then again in its sequels.
Leia’s cinnamon bun hairdo and gold bikini have made her famous even to people who’ve never seen the movies. Carrie Fisher continued to act and worked as a script doctor and writer. The actress sadly passed away in 2016 at just 60 years old. The following day, her famous mother Debbie Reynolds also passed away.
Ramona Vega – Jennifer Lopez
Like many of the actresses on this list, Jennifer Lopez is extremely beautiful in basically every role. However, her turn as veteran dancer Ramona Vega in Hustlers takes the cake for us.
Here we have an established star, and a woman in her 50s, wearing full sequin bodysuits and shimmying in stilettos. Go J.Lo! Jenny from the block has been singing, dancing, and acting since the 90s. The star signed a multi-year deal with Netflix in 2021 to produce a host of movies and TV shows.
Carolina – Salma Hayek
The sensational Salma Hayek looks fabulous in basically all of her roles. However, we want to shout out her character Carolina from the neo-Western Once Upon a Time in Mexico. The Mexican-American actress played the ill-fated wife of Antonio Banderas’ character and looked great doing it.

Audrey took home the Best Actress Oscar for this role, and there’s no wonder. Of course, Audrey Hepburn is a film and fashion legend. In this picture, she’s attending the Academy Awards in 1992. Sadly, she passed away the following year at just 63 years old.
Carmen Ibanez – Denise Richards
There’s no denying that the 1997 sci-fi movie Starship Troopers is a little strange. Any movie about an interstellar war against alien insects would be. But, this movie did give us Denise Richards as Carmen Ibanez, spaceship pilot. This was the actress and model’s breakout role, and we can see why.
Denise Richards has continued to act, including on hit soap The Bold and the Beautiful. Partly due to her ill-fated season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Denise has stayed in the headlines.
Naomi Lapaglia – Margot Robbie
Speaking of breakout roles, what about Margot Robbie in The Wolf of Wall Street? The Australian star had already acted in popular TV shows, but really hit the big time for her role as Naomi Lapaglia.

Lara Croft – Angelina Jolie
How could we compile this list without including one of the most beautiful fictional characters of all time? When Angelina Jolie was cast as Lara Croft, the casting gods sang. The star looks extremely similar to the video game character and is brought to life in the best way in the Tomb Raider series.
Angelina Jolie has gone beyond the world of acting, working as a director and humanitarian. In 2021’s superhero flick Eternals she played a fierce but troubled warrior named Thena.
Poison Ivy – Uma Thurman
It’s time for another stunning superhero! In the 1997 movie Batman & Robin, actress Uma Thurman plays the red-headed Poison Ivy. As the movie’s femme fatale, the crazed botanist tries her best to wipe out the movie’s heroes.
Uma beat fellow beauties Demi Moore and Sharon Stone for this fun role. After this movie, Uma Thurman took on her famous role as The Bride in the Kill Bill series. She has starred in a host of films and TV shows.
Victoria Leeds – Priyanka Chopra
As with some others on our list, it would be difficult to find a role where actress Priyanka Chopra isn’t stunningly beautiful. Seriously, this lady could wear a trash bag and still blow us away.
However, in 2017’s Baywatch she dons the classic red swimsuit to play Victoria Leeds in a poorly reviewed adaptation of the hit TV series. Indian actress and model Priyanka Chopra are incredibly successful in multiple markets. The former pageant queen married Nick Jonas in 2018.
Nakia – Lupita Nyong’o
Considering she was once named the most beautiful woman in the world, there’s no surprise that Lupita Nyong’o makes our list. As undercover spy Nakia in Black Panther, Lupita trained in judo, jujitsu, and various types of martial arts. Plus, check out that costume!
But, of course, Lupita is more than just a pretty face. In fact, the Kenyan-Mexican actress is the recipient of an Oscar, an Emmy, and a master’s degree from Yale. She is also an outspoken activist, fighting for women’s and animal rights.
Alex Munday – Lucy Liu
The 2000 Charlie’s Angels reboot was full of fun, and some fabulous outfits from its lead actresses. Lucy Liu played Angel Alex Munday, showcasing some campy character work alongside Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore. The star pulled no punches and threw herself into the role of a private detective.
American actress, producer, director, and artist Lucy Liu has a lot of strings to her bow. Since welcoming her son Rockwell via surrogate, she’s been involved in celebrating non-traditional family structures.
Angel Salvadore – Zoë Kravitz
There are many X-Men movies and many beautiful characters in them. However, we’re particular fans of Zoe Kravitz’s performance as Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class. Though she’s not the main character, Angel is an undeniably gorgeous mutant with striking dragonfly tattoos.
This role was an American actress and singer Zoë’s breakthrough role. She’s gone on to star in other high-grossing movies and popular TV series. As well to this, Zoë Kravitz is a coveted fashion model and brand ambassador.

While she’s best known for playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family, Sofía Vergara had an acting career long before the sitcom. The Colombian actress and model played Cici in the 2003 comedy Chasing Pap, which features three women who discover their boyfriend has been dating them all.
Sofía is always a stunner, but she looks particularly good in red. In 2020, Sofía Vergara was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood. So it’s safe to say that her career is doing just fine.
Persephone – Monica Bellucci
Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci have portrayed Persephone in several of The Matrix films. The character has proved herself irresistible to many and has been celebrated for her stunning good looks.
Perhaps this is unsurprising, considering Monica Bellucci started her career as a fashion model for Dolce & Gabbana and Dior. Later in her life, Monica Bellucci became the oldest Bond girl in the history of the series. She appeared in the 24th Bond movie, 2015’s Spectre, at 50 years old.
Emily Nelson – Blake Lively
While Blake Lively is undeniably beautiful in most contexts, she really knocks it out of the park in the black comedy thriller A Simple Favor. Sporting a host of incredible pantsuits, the star plays the mysterious Emily Nelson, complete with a swaggering cane.

Sue Storm-Richards – Jessica Alba
Last but definitely not least on our list of beautiful movie characters is Sue Storm-Richards from Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Although actress Jessica Alba had been critical of this movie, she still looks stunning as the Invisible Woman.
During the course of filming, Jessica and the movie’s director Tim Story had several conflicts. Jessica Alba has continued to act but has also made a name for herself as a businesswoman. She founded the Honest Company in 2011, which boasted sales of $550 million in 2022.
